Reviews for Gorilla Automotive 8017 Motorcycle Alarm together with 2-Way Paging System (Automotive) As a long approach as features per dollar go, this alarm is incredible. I extremely recommend procureting this version (the 2-way) over the 8007 (the most effective difference is the 2-way). The reason being, it's extremely, extremely nice to be notified your alarm goes off. Then as an alternative of simply being a theft deterrent it also grow to bes a pleasant paging instrument to permit you to recognize straight away that one factors happening. Alarms go off at all times so if the thief is determined enough he will stay along with your bike and take a appear at to deactivate the alarm earlier than any individual actually elects discover. This is why it's worthwhile to have the 2-way faraway, if he be successfuls in collectting the alarm deactivated, he has now stolen your bicycle. But if he tries to deactivate it and you will have the 2-way model, well by the time he is found the unit that you may be on him like spots on a mattress (hopefully accompanying a weapon).
Anyway, the most effective thing I don't actually like is the range. I really have a Viper automotive alarm in my automotive which has a 1 mile vary so I understand what good range is, this alarm declares 1/2 mile however you'll pretty much by no means obtain that. It can reach inside of normal sized structures (like an condo complex) however don't expect it to move greater than a hundred yards or so, particularly when you begin acquireting a number of fences/buildings in between you and the motorcycle.
Installation was once a breeze, I used the stick on velcro strips equipped but in increasing they provide similar to three different mounting methods so that you can make a selection what you adore one of the best. Velcro is definitely the fastest just remember to easy whatever your going to stick the velcro to together with rubbing alcohol first. If you stick that stuff on a dirty/dusty motorcycle phase it's more likely to fall off.
